Waking up this morning to a very cold and frosty morning prompted me to write this post. Hopefully it will give you an idea of one or two things you can do to prevent your pipes from freezing in the Winter.
Most modern boilers have a frost protection thermostat - make sure you keep your boiler serviced regularly. It is sensible to leave your heating on low, or have it come on once or twice a day if you’re planning on being away during a cold spell.
Lastly, make sure you know where your stopcock is, you may need to turn it off quickly and easily in an emergency.
If you’d like help with any of the above, and don’t feel comfortable addressing insulation yourself, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
